Nerve Hydrodissection
This revolutionary new treatment uses water to clear a path for the sciatic nerve—eliminating pain.
Cellular Therapy
Cellular therapy can regrow tissue in the spine to eliminate the underlying cause of your sciatica pain.
Platelet Rich Plasma(PRP)
Regenerative PRP can strengthen the supporting structures of the back to eliminate tension on the sciatic nerve.
Epidural Injections
If chemical irritation is the cause of your symptoms, epidural steroid injections can calm the nerve quickly.
Physical Therapy
PT can strengthen the core and traction the spine, freeing your sciatic nerve to operate correctly.
Energy-Based Medicine
New technology can reduce inflammation and promote healing of the sciatic nerve to speed recovery.

Regenerative Medicine for the Treatment of Sciatica with Orthobiologics
It’s easy for physicians to miss the complex contributors to sciatic pain.
As a functional unit, the spine supports our bodies through flexion, extension, and twisting movements. With injury and age this unit can become weak or damaged, putting pressure on our sciatic nerve.
Steroids and medications may help sciatica symptoms but will do nothing to heal the anatomy and solve the root of the problem.
Regenerative medicine—like PRP and cellular therapy—is a game-changer. With these tools, we can strengthen instabilities in tendons and joints, and repair discs, to return the spinal anatomy to optimal function. This eliminates pressure on the sciatic nerve, and solving the root of your symptoms.
Understanding Sciatica
Sciatica is a general term for pain involving the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body—exiting the L4-S1 segment of the lumbar spine and traveling through the glutes, down the leg, and into the foot.
The source of sciatic pain could be anywhere along this journey—from a protruding disc in your lumbar spine, to chemical irritation in your foramen, to muscle-plane tension in your thigh. It may even be caused by your sacroiliac (SI) joint—totally unrelated to your sciatic nerve.
When the sciatic nerve gets irritated it can cause a variety of symptoms including sharp or burning pain radiating from the lower back through the glutes or down the leg, often accompanied by numbness and weakness in the leg or foot.

Why the Right Sciatica Diagnosis Matters
Because the sciatic nerve is so long, and the symptoms are so varied, sciatica can have many causes that need to be carefully ruled out to find the right treatment for you.
You need a structure-specific diagnostic workup to address each possible cause of your sciatica symptoms. Once we know the cause, we then work together to design the right treatment plan.
Treating Sciatica the Right Way
There’s not one perfect treatment for sciatica. The right treatment always starts with the right diagnosis. Often multiple layers of different modalities are necessary to first tackle your symptoms and next, repair your body so your symptoms don’t return.
Doctors are often good at first line defenses, like steroid injections and medications. These can be great at addressing the symptoms of sciatica but do little to address the underlying causes.
Whole Body Wellness
At Compass, we take a global-approach to sciatica treatment, understanding how your body works in total, not in isolation, to address the root-cause of your sciatica symptoms.
The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis. Compass will guide you every step of the way, with everything under one roof, under the direction of you and your doctor.
Chemical Irritation
If the source of your sciatica is chemical irritation, steroid injections can calm the joint space and lower inflammatory responses in the sciatic nerve
Mechanical Pressure
If mechanical pressure is contributing to your sciatica, we can identify the specific source of this pressure and open a path for the nerve to travel freely
- Hydrodissection can quickly open spaces in your muscle
tissue using water
- Hydrodissection can quickly open spaces in your muscle
Instability
When the spine is unstable, regenerative medicine can heal instability, allowing your body to return to its pre-injury state and support normal function of the sciatic nerve.
Strength
Physical therapy can traction the spine to remove pressure from your sciatic nerve, and long-term can help strengthen and realign the body to move correctly.Inflammation
Energy-based medicine like PEMF and photobiomodulation (red light therapy) can help reduce inflammation in the body and encourage calming of your sciatic nerve.
