Sexual Health
- Improve sexual function
- Reduce inflammation
- Enhance vascular performance and encourage blood vessel formation
PRECISE FIT
is it right for me?
- Regenerative Medicine requires the right diagnosis, the right biologic agent, and a skillful physician to deliver it to the precise location.
- Improvements typically take place gradually as the body heals itself over several weeks.
- People that see improvement after a procedure may repeat their treatment again to achieve optimal results over time.
- Some people respond less to the same therapy as others.

- Some discomfort can take place during the healing process but most people tolerate procedures well.
- You may experience bruising, redness, or swelling at the injection site.
- Infection is extremely rare, but is a serious risk with any medical procedure.
- Regenerative medicine is considered experimental and is not approved by the FDA.

- People with neck, bain, or joint pain or instability.
- Adults in overall good health who want an alternative to surgery to treat their pain, or are looking for a way to improve their skin, hair or sexual health.
- Patients who commit to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and will follow post-procedural instructions.

- Active smokers, heavy drinkers, or those with serious lifestyle issues that create an inferior healing response.
- Patients who are pregnant or have serious medical conditions, such as cancer, advanced diabetes, or genetic disorders.

TAILORED CARE
why choose Compass?
Not all cellular products are created equal. Many clinics are using unknown biologic material, with no quality control or third-party testing. This can result in minimal treatment benefit, or worse, cases of dangerous rejection and infection.
At Compass, we use autologous cells from your own body minimally processed with the highest quality laboratory equipment. This maximizes regenerative properties, increases cell viability, and minimizes the risk of infection.

Our board-certified physicians are among the most preeminent in the field of regenerative medicine.
Their expertise will determine the true source of your issue, find the perfect biologic agent (sometimes a combination of agents), and deliver the application to the needed location.
Many clinics inject biologics without imaging guidance; this is like trying to shoot a bullseye with your eyes closed. At Compass, we use both ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance to inject biologics at precisely the right location to heal your issue.
Regenerative medicine is equal parts science and art, requiring skillful hands to deliver medicine to the right place. Ultrasound takes decades to master. Experience counts.

Autologous Cells vs. Allograft Products: Why the Source Matters
Not all regenerative medicine treatments are created equal—and one of the most important differences lies in where the cells come from.
Autologous Cells vs. Allograph Cells
Autologous cells are cells taken directly from your own body—most commonly from bone marrow or adipose (fat) tissue—then carefully processed and reintroduced to your area of injury. Because these cells come from you, they are naturally compatible with your immune system.
Key benefits of autologous cell therapy include:
- No risk of immune rejection
- No risk of disease transmission from another
person - Cells are biologically matched to your body
- Higher safety profile and better integration with
your tissue
Key drawback to autologous cells include:
- Require a one-time tissue harvest
- Generally quick and painless
- Can be avoided in the future with cell-banking
At Compass Pain and Wellness, we prioritize treatments that work with your body. Additionally, autologous preparation gives you the opportunity to bank your cells for future use. Cell banking involves culturally expanding your cells in a laboratory to make them more potent and saving them for your lifetime, or beyond, for easy access and use by yourself or blood relatives.
Allograft products are derived from donated human tissue, often from birth tissues such as umbilical cord or placental sources. Many clinics purchase these products from third-party vendors, sometimes marketed online as “stem cell” solutions.
While these products may sound appealing, there are important concerns:
- The cells are not from your body
- Most commercially available products do not contain living stem cells
- Quality, sourcing, and handling can vary widely
- They carry increased risk of inflammatory reactions and complications
- They have limited oversight and inconsistent clinical evidence
Key benefits to allograft products:
- Do not require any harvest
- May be more affordable
In some cases, improperly sourced or processed allograft products have been associated with serious adverse events, including Graft vs. Host Disease. Compass may use allograft products when clinically indicated, but this will be made after careful determination with your doctor and only use the highest-quality products with rigorous quality controls.
Many of our patients believe they’ve tried regenerative medicine. In reality, they’ve had inferior biologics—often containing not even a single viable cell—injected blindly into the general area of their injury.
Other patients traveled overseas and spent tens of thousands of dollars on stem cell infusions we can perform right here in the United States, with board certified physicians, for a fraction of the cost.
We’re tired of seeing patients taken advantage of. We’re tired of seeing regenerative medicine practiced poorly. At Compass, we’re leading the charge to a quality medical revolution.

frequently asked questions
How does Regenerative Medicine work?
Regenerative medicine is designed to trigger the body’s natural healing process to repair and remodel damaged tissue, joint, tendon, ligament, disc and even bone. By injecting healing messenger cells and concentrated platelets, we send signals to the body to begin its natural healing process at a cellular level.
How long does it take to recover from a procedure?
Regenerative treatments are non-surgical alternatives to traditional orthopedic care, which means the downtime is significantly shorter than surgery. Patients often return to normal activities within days or a few weeks. Improvements from cell therapy or PRP injections are typically noticed within a week, but a full healing cycle may take up to two months as the body continues to heals. Our team will provide you with a personalized recovery plan to help maximize results.
What kind of guarantee can you provide that my procedure will be effective?
While regenerative medicine shows promising results in several areas, no medical procedure can be guaranteed. Outcomes depend on your age, health, and the severity of your condition. At Compass, we focus on transparent, evidence-based care — we only recommend regenerative treatments when there is legitimate research to support them. Nothing is guaranteed.
Can I still get surgery if my procedure is not effective?
Yes. Regenerative medicine does not interfere with the ability to pursue other treatment options, including surgery, later. Many patients choose regenerative medicine first because it offers a safe, conservative approach that may help them avoid surgery or reduce reliance on long-term medications.
Can I repeat my procedure?
Yes. In some cases, repeating a PRP or cell-based treatment may be recommended, especially if you had partial improvement or your condition progresses over time. Our providers will review your case individually to determine whether a repeat regenerative procedure is the best next step.
My injury is old, can Regenerative Medicine still help me?
When the body is injured, it starts a natural healing cycle that typically lasts 12 weeks. After this cycle, the body considers the job complete, even though you may still be experiencing pain or loss of function. Orthobiologics re-starts this healing cycle, giving you subsequent attempts to continue repairing the body. While outcomes may improve with earlier intervention, Regenerative Medicine is often effective for old injuries or degeneration that’s existed for decades.
What is the average cost of a procedure?
The cost of regenerative medicine varies depending on the biologic agent received and the scope of orthopedic issue being treated. A PRP joint injection will cost roughly $1,000, while a complex cell-based spine procedure may cost up to $8,000. The typical range for procedures is $3-5,000. In all cases, we provide clear pricing upfront and can discuss options to make care accessible.
What are the most important questions to ask a clinic before getting Regenerative Medicine?
- What type of biologics are you using and are they FDA-compliant?
- If the cells are not autologous (meaning from another donor) what third-party testing do you do to ensure their quality and known origin?
- Do you use a cell counter to ensure the viability of my injection?
- What kit will be used to process my biologic injection and how do you assess its quality?
- Who is performing the procedure, and what are their credentials and experience in interventional orthopedics?
- What is your complication rate for orthobiologic procedures?
- Do you use ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance for accurate injections?
- How do you measure and track patient outcomes?
