With more than 26 years of clinical experience, Russell Sanders, PA-C, has dedicated his career to helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. His background includes orthopedic medicine, spine care, and surgical practice, with his current focus centered on interventional pain management.

Russell earned his Physician Assistant education at Western University of Health Sciences in Northern California, where he served as class president and was honored as Northern California Mid-Level Practitioner Student of the Year. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and remains committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.

His approach to medicine is deeply personal. Russell believes that pain affects far more than the physical body. It influences careers, family relationships, friendships, and overall well-being. He takes the time to understand how pain impacts each patient’s daily life so that together they can develop a treatment plan that addresses both the symptoms and the person behind them. His goal is not simply to reduce pain, but to help patients regain the activities, independence, and quality of life that matter most to them.

Outside of medicine, Russell enjoys an active and adventurous lifestyle. He is passionate about travel, reading, astronomy, and photography. His photographic work has been exhibited in multiple galleries throughout Laguna Beach and is currently displayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Dana Point. He also enjoys pursuing personal challenges, including free diving to depths of 50 feet in open water and exploring some of the world’s most remarkable destinations.

Whether through medicine, photography, or adventure, Russell is driven by curiosity, continuous learning, and a desire to experience life to its fullest.
