Dr. Stonebarger is passionate about providing kind, accessible, and enjoyable rehabilitation care to people in all walks of life. After graduating from Arizona State University with a BS in Psychology, Gail moved to Portland, Oregon to complete her PhD in Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience at Oregon Health and Science
University. While in graduate school, she discovered a passion for community outreach and education, and taught neuroscience courses to a diverse range of populations—including after school programs, Portland State University undergraduate and graduate courses, college credit for women’s and youth incarceration centers, retirement groups, and more. Gail is excited to bring expertise from these experiences into the cognitive rehabilitation program at
Compass. Outside of work, Gail spends most of her time enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Depending on the season, you can find her backpacking, snowboarding, rock climbing, and enjoying Portland’s incredible selection of vegan food (sometimes with Moose, her goofy German Shepherd in tow).
