Dr. Ozlem Tekelioglu, PsyD.
Dr. Ozlem Tekelioglu is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology and the treatment of adults living with chronic pain, medical conditions, and the emotional challenges that often accompany them. She also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sleep-related difficulties, particularly when these concerns are connected to health and pain conditions.
Dr. Tekelioglu earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the APA-accredited California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She completed both her internship and postdoctoral training with a focus on chronic pain management and health psychology and is licensed to practice in both California and Texas.
Her approach to care is centered on treating the whole person. Dr. Tekelioglu recognizes that physical health, emotional well-being, and daily functioning are deeply interconnected and works to provide integrated care that addresses both the medical and psychological aspects of a patient’s experience. Her goal is to help patients regain a sense of control, improve their quality of life, and reconnect with the activities that matter most to them.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Tekelioglu has served as an assistant professor and provided training to physicians and medical residents on pain psychology and the role psychological factors play in the experience and treatment of pain.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through martial arts, surfing, and riding motorcycles. Many patients are surprised to learn that she also lives with chronic pain herself, an experience that brings both empathy and practical insight to her approach to patient care.
