Eliminate Fat in One Treatment

How it Works
Precision Lipo is true surgical fat removal performed more efficiently and safely than legacy liposuction.
The treatment area is numbed, keeping you comfortable without the need for general anesthesia.
Through discreet incisions, fat is then removed with a small wand that produces gentle vibrations, loosening fat cells for easy extraction.
This allows for precise fat removal, crafting your desired look. The procedure takes a few hours, after which you can return home with a simple bandage removed the next day.

Precision Lipo vs. Legacy Liposuction vs. Cool Sculpting
Med-Spas offer Cool Sculpting, EM Sculpt, and other consumer devices that fail to deliver real results.
Liposuction is the only true fat-removal method. Historically, this required major surgery, going fully under anesthesia with a focus on volumetric fat-removal.
Precision Lipo is rapidly replacing Legacy Liposuction, with minimally invasive, high-definition targeting that delivers the same results in a faster, safer, and more affordable way.

How it Works: Understanding Fat Cells
Fat cells, called adipocytes, are specialized cells that store energy as fat (triglycerides). Fat cells are essential to regulate hormones, insulate the body, and manage blood sugar; however, excess fat cells cause chronic inflammation, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, high blood pressure, and other health conditions.
Once fat cells are created, they’re not naturally destroyed. When
you lose weight through diet and exercise, these fat cells shrink,
giving you the appearance of fat loss—but the cells are still there,
ready to be refilled. This is why keeping weight off is so difficult.
Liposuction is the only procedure that permanently removes fat
cells from the body, helping restore a healthy body fat percentage for not just cosmetic reasons, but overall health. Once removed, fat cells can’t return, making your fat loss permanent, and easier to maintain.

Cell Banking
Targeted Lipo isn’t just a cosmetic procedure, it’s part of an executive-level plan to maximize your health and optimize your healthspan to live longer, and better.
One of the biggest advantages to Precision Lipo at Compass is the opportunity to bank your cells for future use. Cell Banking converts the fat cells we remove during lipo into highly-valuable stem cells, a potent healing biologic you can call upon for the rest of your life.
Mesenchymal stem cells, the healing messenger cells of the body, are found in abundance in our adipose tissue (fat cells). When we remove these cells during your Precision Lipo procedure, we can transmit a sample to a Cell Banking lab. This lab will extract your stem cells and expand them into a highly-potent concentration, saving them in a cryofreezer for the rest of your life.
At any point in the future, you can have these cells delivered to Compass for use in targeted Cellular Therapy and IV infusion. These revolutionary treatments can address acute orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, regrow tissue, and promote body-wide regeneration to support anti-aging.
What to Expect
You’ll start with a one-on-one consultation with Mandi Tanner, NP, to discuss your goals. This includes a comprehensive 3D body scan to measure your baseline body fat percentage, muscle mass, and body contours.
You’ll leave your consultation with a comprehensive plan to achieve your dream physique and discuss the specific Precision Lipo procedure that’s right for you.
On the day of your procedure you’ll meet with Mandi again to review your procedure and go over any questions.
Your procedure will be performed in the office. We’ll administer a simple local anesthetic to numb the treatment area, as well as oral sedation if desired. This allows the procedure to be performed comfortably while you’re awake, with no side-effects.
One or more small incisions will be made in the treatment area. Then, using a precision wand that combines gentle vibration and suction, fat will be removed and placed into a canister for disposal after your procedure.
During the procedure you can listen to music, your favorite podcast, or watch a movie or show on our flat-screen TV—you always get to choose what we watch. Some patients even take a nap.
The total procedure time ranges from 1-4 hours, depending on the areas being treated.
After the procedure we’ll apply a simple bandage to your procedural site—no stiches required. We’ll also apply a compression wrap to encourage skin tightening in the procedural site. You’ll return home that day and can typically remove your bandages the following day.
Recovery is minimal. Typically, patients return to light activities within a day or two, and full-strength exercise and activity within two weeks.
We’ll schedule routine follow-ups to check in on your progress, ensure the best results, and support any aspects of your healthcare journey.

FAQ
What is Precision Lipo?
Precision Lipo is a minimally invasive liposuction procedure designed to remove targeted fat under local (tumescent) anesthesia. It is real surgical fat removal, performed in an office-based setting without general anesthesia
Is Precision Lipo the same as traditional liposuction?
Precision Lipo uses the same fundamental liposuction principles, but it is performed under local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia and focuses on targeted, controlled fat removal rather than large-volume surgery. This allows for a calmer experience, faster recovery, and an improved safety profile.
Am I awake during the procedure?
Yes. Precision Lipo is performed using local anesthesia, meaning the area is fully numb while you remain awake, comfortable, and breathing on your own. Most patients describe the experience as relaxed and well-tolerated.
How long does the procedure take?
Most Precision Lipo procedures take approximately 1–4 hours total, including preparation, anesthesia, the procedure itself, and immediate recovery. Patients return home the same day.
How much fat can be removed?
Precision Lipo typically removes several pounds of fat in a single procedure. The goal is contouring, shape refinement, and fat reduction rather than total weight loss. Changes are best measured by visual improvement, clothing fit, body proportion and composition—not the scale.
Are the results permanent?
Yes. Fat cells removed during Precision Lipo are permanently eliminated and do not grow back, helping you keep fat off long-term. Remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain, which is why maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle is important for long-term results.
How long are bandages required?
Light bandages are usually worn for the first 24–48 hours after the procedure to protect the small incision sites and manage normal drainage. After that, bandages are typically no longer needed.
How long do I need to wear compression garments?
Compression garments are an important part of recovery. These consist of a light, breathable sleeve wrapped around your procedure sight. Typically, they are worn continuously for 6-8 weeks, depending on area and scope of your procedure, but they can be taken off to bathe. These recommendations will be tailored for your body and specific procedure.
What is recovery like?
Most patients return to light daily activities within a few days. Mild soreness, swelling, and bruising are expected and improve gradually over several weeks. More strenuous exercise is typically resumed after 2–4 weeks, guided by your physician.
Is Precision Lipo safe?
When performed by a qualified physician in an appropriate medical setting, Precision Lipo has a strong safety profile, particularly compared to procedures requiring general anesthesia. As with any surgical procedure, risks exist and will be reviewed during your consultation.
How does Precision Lipo compare to CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment that typically requires multiple sessions and produces modest results. Precision Lipo is a single-procedure surgical option that permanently removes fat cells and provides more predictable contouring.
How do you support long-term results?
Precision Lipo is part of a whole-body wellness approach. We support patients with personalized nutrition guidance, exercise planning, peptide therapy when appropriate, and Styku 3D body scanning to objectively track body composition changes over time.
Who is a good candidate?
Good candidates are generally healthy individuals seeking targeted fat removal who prefer a minimally invasive, office-based procedure. A personalized consultation is the best way to determine candidacy.
Can I bank my cells without getting Precision Lipo?
Yes, cells can be banked independent of a liposuction procedure. Typically 30 milliliters of fat are required for cell banking, which can be taken by hand in a quick and painless procedure.
